What Ticheka is
Ticheka Outdoors is an independent research and data publication. Our team is based in Morocco and works remotely. We have not personally camped in the US national parks we cover, and we do not claim to have. That distinction shapes how this site is built: we aim to publish only what can be traced to the agency, operator or document that governs it, we link that source next to the claim, and we show the date it was checked. Material changes are corrected transparently, and each page states what still needs confirmation. Where a question can only be answered by being there—how a specific pad feels, or whether a road is comfortable with a particular rig—we say so and point to the official record rather than guessing.
We believe a reader is better served by a clearly sourced, honestly limited page than by borrowed first-person authority. Our work is the reading, cross-checking, calculation and monitoring that most travelers do not have time to do—done in the open, with the sources attached.

Meriem Chrrouhi
Meriem is the founder and content author of Ticheka Outdoors. She plans the site’s coverage, builds the campground and cost datasets from agency records—the National Park Service, Recreation.gov, the Bureau of Land Management and official campground operators—writes the guides, and specifies planning tools such as the RV trip fuel calculator and campground finder. She is responsible for what the site covers and for the research behind it, with attention to campground rules, costs, route constraints and source freshness.

Mouhsine Motya
Mouhsine reviews material source links, figures, internal consistency, disclosures, dates and uncertainty statements before publication. He checks time-sensitive travel claims against the responsible official sources and makes sure uncertainty is stated clearly.
What a review means
A named review means the page has been checked for traceable sources, unsupported certainty, calculation clarity, internal-link accuracy and compliance with Ticheka’s editorial rules. It is not a claim of professional engineering, electrical, medical or legal certification.
How tools and AI are used
Software and AI may help organize research, compare source fields, draft working copy and flag changes. They do not replace the named reviewer. No page is approved solely because an automated system produced it.
What we do not claim
We do not claim field visits, personal product testing, or professional certifications in engineering, electrical work, medicine or law. We do not publish sponsored verdicts, and affiliate relationships—where they exist—are disclosed on the page and never decide a recommendation. If a question genuinely requires first-hand evidence we cannot obtain, we would rather quote a named traveler, a ranger or an official notice, with permission and attribution, than imply an experience we did not have.
