Corrections Policy
We want material errors reported, checked and fixed clearly.
Report an issue
Send the page URL, the statement you believe is wrong, the correct information and—when available—a primary source. Use our contact page and choose “Correction” in your message.
How we respond
We review the evidence, check the responsible primary source and update the page when a correction is warranted. Small spelling or formatting fixes may be made silently. Material factual corrections may include a note describing what changed.
Urgent safety information
For emergencies or immediate park and road conditions, contact the responsible authority directly. Ticheka is not an emergency notification service.
What counts as a material correction
A material correction is anything that could change a decision: a campground length limit, a fee, an opening or closing date, a reservation window, a hookup level, a road restriction, a tank capacity or a calculation that produces the wrong number. These are corrected on the page and noted in a dated line at the foot of the article.
Typos, broken links, formatting problems and clarifications that do not change meaning are fixed without a note. We do not quietly change a figure that a reader may have planned around.
How quickly we act
Reports that affect safety or a booking in progress — a closed road, a suspended campground, a changed booking window — are checked the same day we receive them. Everything else is checked in the normal review cycle, which runs before each season change and whenever an agency publishes a new fee schedule or reservation calendar.
If we cannot verify a reported error against an official source, we say so rather than changing the page. If the official source itself is ambiguous, we publish the ambiguity instead of picking a side.
What we cannot correct
We cannot change availability, restore a canceled reservation, or influence a park decision. If a campground closed after you booked, the agency or the reservation platform is the only route to a refund. We can, and will, update the page so the next reader is not caught by the same change.
